Dufton Methodist Church

Dufton with Knock Methodist Church is a small, rural chapel situated in the centre of the village of Dufton.

We have a broad range of ages (4 years to 80+ years) who attend the chapel and although we may not have the largest number of worshippers we are very committed to sharing the gospel with those around us in the community.

As we are in a picturesque part of the Upper Eden Valley we often have visitors joining us for services while they are on holiday. We are also on the Pennine Way long distance footpath.

We have undertaken a modernisation project on the chapel where we removed the pews and pulpit and also the dividing wall between the Sunday School room and the chapel and replaced them with comfortable chairs (and a movable dividing wall) which makes it easy for us to use the building for a number of purposes. The church building is used regularly for meetings by local groups and organisations.

Everyone who attends our chapel is made to feel very welcome.

"Referred to as "Dufton with Knock" as the chapel is a merging of the Methodist churches in Dufton and Knock villages."
