Storm Ciara

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by Storm Ciara over the weekend, especially in Appleby, Kirkby Stephen and the communities around. We pray for those whose homes and businesses have been flooded once again, for the people and farming communities of the area and for the clean-up as it begins. Please pray for the fellowship at Crosby Ravensworth chapel which was flooded and for our Appleby Sands Church.

We thank God for the many acts of practical kindness that took place over the weekend and will, no doubt, continue in the days and weeks that lie ahead.

If there is any way we can be of help please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Psalm 121 “I look to the hills; where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord”

And, as Jesus reassures his followers in the midst of the storm “take courage; it is I. Do not be afraid” (Matthew 14 v 27)
